Guest guest
Mike, Do check into spices. I was told by my surgeon's PA/dietician to spice food up a great deal with non-sugary spices because they're essentially free diet wise. I was VERY worried about some hot seasonings and spices which I love. They said I didn't have to worry about that, I haven't and I'm probably more tolerant of hot food now than I was before surgery. Spices rock! Guest guest
My surgeon's nutritionist recently recommended the Kashi oatmeal which comes in flavors like oatmeal. Also I can't do milk either anymore but on occasion love cereal with soy milk. Yum Have a great day. Bonnie 125/173/

Guest guest
You should watch for the sodium in spices though. High levels of sodium can cause water retention. Mrs. Dash offers a wide variety of spices without the added sodium. Here is another provider of low sodium sauces and spices: http://www.mrspice.com/ Re: Oatmeal w Brown sugar Mike, Do check into spices.
