Well, the consensus from this panal of experts seems to suggest that

this recent Shaking Ethan is having is seizure activity, but it

could be something else, too ( ie. mineral deficiency). Thanks for

all your responses. Its amazing how mnay of you have seen these

shakes, yet from the doctors I have talked to, they seem highly

unusual. We are a unique bunch, aren't we? Like the optomistic fool

that I am, I canceled tomarrow's EEG thinking that certainly these

weren't seizures. I mean, maybe we just assume they are seizures

because of our kids' seizure prone status. I always assumed Ethan's

freezing episodes so prevelant last summer were seizures, until one

was caught on an EEG and nothing showed up. I guess that is why I

am able to convince myself that maybe these aren't seziures,

either. We did a full blood workup today. My pediatrician neighbor

happened to see Ethan having one of these episodes and did a few

tests for tetany. She said it didn't seem like tetany. I'll keep

everyone posted, since many of you have experienced the same thing.

We meet with the doctor in one week. Thanks for the insights.
