It is nice to see that there are people out there who are having the same struggles in life and that I am not alone. For anyone who cares, My name is and I live in Mt. Airy, NC. I weigh 270, 5'5 " tall, and have always had trouble with my weight. I stumbled across Dr. R.'s web-site several months ago, and I have read it at least 5 times (every word) I have tried everything (Redux to Xenical, WW to Craig) and can't get control of my weight. Fortunately, I have no major health problems. I have been " unofficially " diagnosed by my PCP but was never sent to verify it. I did have Toxemia while preganant and extremely high blood pressure. That is all better know. My problem is pain and lifestyle limitations. (unfortunatly for my insurance to pay, I have to have one foot in the grave!!!!!!!) I have a long family history of medical problems (father died at age 34 of a heart attack, mother has cancer, grandfathers both has heart attacks _one died_ grandmother is obese!!) I can't manuver myself in a social setting. I have trouble getting in and out of the car. I get stuck in bathroom stalls. I fear going in public, afraid that I will have to walk in front of people. I can't go to the movies, i can't fit!! I am trying to get together my package for Dr. R. Does anyone have BCBS NCSE insurance?? any luck? Thanks MGB hopeful!! I sat in an aisle seat and every time someone walked by they would bump into my arm. I couldn't get it out of the way. We were in Hollywood eating breakfast at a Denny's and I got wedged in the booth they sat us at and had to move to the other side of the table. It is so embarrassing to have people leer at you. My family is so supportive but I know it is difficult for them to watch my humiliation when things like this happen. The first night we were in Vegas my family went out to see the sights and I went to bed because I was exhausted. My joints and muscles ached from all the walking. I was a real sight to see running through the Las Vegas airport trying to keep up with my family so we could catch our flight. My story could go on and on but you get the picture. LOL I too have no " chemical " morbidities, only mechanical ones. The most dangerous being I'm sleep apneic. I would really like to throw my CPAP machine away some day. LOL I too have no " chemical " morbidities, only mechanical ones. The most dangerous being I'm sleep apneic. I would really like to throw my CPAP machine away some day.
