Guest guest
My 17 month old loves turnips - we boil them in a little salt and mush them just like mashed potatoes and then add the butter - He gets over twice of this vegetable compared to the other ones he likes. For mashed potatoes we use cauliflower but I'm going to try the turnips. For french fries, I use zucchini, I peel it and then slice it like shoe string frieds and then fry in a skillet intil crispy and then salt. He loves them. What about the flat bread? Where did you get it? How many carbs etc. Thanks
Guest guest
Turnips are a big hit with my 8yr. old, too. She also loves the cauliflower " potatoes " . Steam cauliflower and mash. Add cream cheese, butter, cheddar cheese and a little parmesan cheese (adjust amounts to your child's diet Rx). Put in an over proof pan and broil until it bubbles and the top turns slightly brown. I think this and the cheese crisps will be around even after we are completely off the diet!
