Guest guest
There are no stupid questions! You're not that out of shape. It's lupus. Some of the things it will teach you are to plan ahead, slow down, and that a clean house isn't all it's cracked up to be. I try to clean one room a day...and sometimes it takes me all day to do it. When you start feeling pain and/or fatigue...stop and rest. When you are really strung out...it's okay to cancel or alter plans with friends. What you have to be careful about is overdoing it and throwing yourself into a flare that will send you to bed. I get winded walking more than two blocks now, so I stop and rest as I go. I find I can go longer if I don't try to do it all at once. I'm still young, so it's hard to pace myself, but Lupus will pace you if you don't do it yourself. > I have a question for anyone who might be able to answer it. Guest guest
, thanks so much for the advice and help. I'm sorry you have to deal with this kind of thing at such a young age. I guess I am going to have to learn what my limits are. I feel like it's so hard to know how to tell people what you're dealing with when you don't understand it yourself. Like telling a friend I can't go with them because I worked too hard on my shower and don't feel well sounds so strange. However, I am learning that I may have to do some things like that and it's going to be a hard change for me. I'm glad that I have this support group to help me understand and to give me support when I need it. Everyone on here has been so great just in the short time I have been with the group. Thanks again! Carol > There are no stupid questions! You're not that out of shape. It's > lupus.
