Stupid Question

I have a question for anyone who might be able to answer it. It

probably sounds stupid but I am so new to understanding this disease

and how it affects my body I guess it doesn't hurt to ask.

Yesterday I decided I needed to get some of my house cleaned up as

it is getting pretty bad and needs a good scrubbing. I was

scrubbing my shower down and My arm started feeling so fatigued and

sore and I started to feel nausea. I thought my goodness I must

really be out of shape to not even be able to do some cleaning

without feeling like I'm gonna be sick and my arm is going to fall

off. I finished what I was doing and I felt like I just needed to

lie down for awhile. I was suppose to meet a friend to go somewhere

and I felt like it took everything I had to get myself ready to go

with her. Later in the evening My whole body felt fatigued and my

arms and legs felt sore and tired. I didn't feel like doing

anything but my body felt bad enough I found it hard to sleep or

relax. I still feel rather tired today. Does this sound familiar to

anyone? Is this part of Lupus or am I just in really bad shape?

Thanks for any help! Carol

Hi Carol,

My name is Carol too but here I spell it with a K since there used to be another Carol in the group. I'm 54 years old with three grown kids and three dogs. Anyways......that is NOT a stupid question....believe me. I know exactly what you are talking about. I'm rather new to this disease too being d/xed last September but I have times when my arms get so tired just washing my hair I have had to take a break. I have found myself sitting on the floor when trying to put fresh sheets on the bed needing to rest. I live on a hill and sometimes I have to sit down on the ground after only getting half way up the hill.....it's not that far really. I used to think I was in bad shape too.....well......I am in bad shape but not that bad! I know the nausea you mentioned too. Sorry to hear you're feeling so bad......believe me I understand.

Hugs....

Karol
