In fact my daughter-in-law said to me the other day that she was looking at pictures of me from a couple of years ago and I don't even look the same anymore. I have been on Prednisone for over 2 years now. I alsso have the 'buffalo hump' (very attractive) and the fat upper abdomen now. It's depressing the changes that occur to your body with the steroids but as my friends and doctors tell me be thankful for the drug that has kept you alive and you are still the same person inside. Teri Steroid question I'm currently on my first round of steroids....about a month now. My question is....Just how puffy will my face get. I'm fairly puffy now. Does it stop at some point or will by face just pop one day? Just kidding about the explosion, but I'm not enjoying the puffyness. The steroids have made me lose my apetite, but I keep getting bigger. Maybe I'm just full of hot air...I don't know.I'm hoping to get off them at my next appointment on 04/30. My new medication, Arava, is doing wonders. My joint pain and stiffness have really decreased dramatically after only a week and a half.
