Guest guest
Hello , I just wanted to thank all of you (too many to mention) for all the help you've provided. I haven't posted much , but when I did , many of you helped out. has been on the diet 11 months and we have decided that it's not worth the stress of meals and of refusing him foods for the results it's giving us. His seizures never went away on the diet and in the last couple months have escalated. We tried tweeking the diet, changing caloric intake, and " playing around " witht the protein/carb combination.. with no luck. Our next step is more evaluations to see if he's a surgical candidate (again). I wish you all luck with your children!!! Emma (mom to 6-yr-old www.geocities.com/thecats5) PS For those who are just starting.. I'm very glad I tried the keto diet and wished I had done it sooner. I would continue for 20 years if it took the seizures away, but at this point with his continued seizures I don't feel it's worth the trouble(for me) and the " deprivation " of foods (for him). We feel we gave it our best shot considering we were told to giev it about 3-6 months.
