I found out about this bakery after we came back from Colorado. It's in Denver, and also has a restaurant. Also,

some of the Beau Jo's Pizza restaurants carry gluten free pizza crusts from Deby's. I was told to call ahead to the restaurant to see if it is one that carries them.

Any info. on Denver/Boulder CO?

I didn't think to ask this group for advice until I saw the request for info on HI. Anyway, we're leaving tomorrow for Colorado for the first time! Does anyone have any info. on any gf-friendly restaurants and/or activities/tips for us? It's partially a work trip for my husband, so I'll be alone with our 2.5 year-old Celiac son and my 8-month old for 4 days. Thanks so much!Joy

Deby's is an absolute must! Completely GF bakery and cafe. No

worries at all eating there. My favorite, because I can't get it

anywhere else, is her GF sesame chicken. My DD loves the alfredo,

and her pizza is great. The crusts for Beau Jo's GF pizza come from

Deby's too.

Here's a link to the local CS assoc restaurant page. Lots of

suggestions throughout Denver/Bouler

I'm drawing a blank on activities right now. If I think of

something I'll post again later.

Hope you have a great time!

Joy,

As for restaurants, the Beau Jo's Pizza places stock gluten free pizza crusts (and GF beer, for you) that are wonderful.

There is a restaurant called Deby's GF Bakery on the east side of town. The entire menu is GF and she has products to go if you prefer. It's probably out of your way, but worth the trip.

In Wheat Ridge, there is a restaurant called Abrusci's (32nd & Youngfield--right off I-70) that has a great GF menu. It is a little more adult oriented, but they also offer GF pizza and kids are certainly welcome.

Of course, we have plenty of the chain restaurants. And, we have Whole Foods, Wild Oats, and Vitamin Cottages for your GF food needs.

As for activities, there is the Denver Zoo and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. These are located just E of Downtown Denver. Up north, closer to Boulder, is the Butterfly Pavillion.

There is a Six Flags Elitch Gardens AND a Children's museum just west of Downtown.

There is a huge mall called Flatiron Crossing in the general area of the Butterfly Pavillion. There is also a great miniature golf course also near the Pavillion called.....? It has an exploding volcano.

Your kids are probably a little too young for some of these suggestions, but the Children's Museum would be great for them.

Have fun in Denver.

Someone else already mentioned this, but I just wanted to stress that

you must, must, must, go to the Vitamin Cottage health food store,

despite the boring name. They have a fabulous selection of gluten free

stuff and great prices. Oh how I miss Vitamin Cottage now that I'm in

the overpriced Bay Area.

Beau Jo's pizza chain in Denver area has a great GF pizza menu; I would love to go back if I was 800 miles closer. Deby's Bakery in Denver makes their crusts; they have a cafe in the bakery. Re: Any info. on Denver/Boulder CO?

We had a gf vendor fair here in NY and had Deby's Bakery come all the way from

Denver.

Here is the information:

Deby's Gluten Free Inc.- Bakery and Café located in Denver, Colorado that offers

all

aspects of gluten free products that are prepared fresh daily in the bake shop.

Breakfast

specials, soups, salads, pizzas, and sandwiches are available in the café or to

go.
