Hi Gretchen,

Sorry so late replying, another one I had trouble finding in hubby's inbox

while I am using his pute...:)

The yoghurt has varies, about 12 gms on average per meal depending on

the type is his current fave...doesn't sound like that much but when mixed in

with 30ish gms cream it gives quite a lot of flavour. This week's craze is a

custard apricot yoghurt, last week's was more of a dairy food one,

(banana/choc), the week before that a boysenberry fruit yoghurt, and so on, all

fairly close to each other carb wise.

The grinding of the almonds at home here is probably the way to go, but I am

the sort who usually goes for the easiest option - ie - straight off the shelf

:)

Hubby has had a large contract in Noumea (New Caledonia) looming for quite

some time, keeps getting put back, then moved forward, then back again, and so

on. Ugh. Very unsettling. Anyway, because it is still looking a ways off, there

is another one looming in Fiji as a 'fill in' till Noumea is up and running.

Either country is ony a short flight from NZ, so we may just go to and fro

until we decide where to settle for the contract duration.

I am not that keen on living in either place really, being tropical

with high temps, his topomax is a bit of a concern, with it's tendency to cause

overheating etc. So all a bit up in the air, and if we do all settle overseas

then it will only be temporary, (max 2 yrs) we are both born and bred NZers,

with most of our family all living here too.

HI ,

I like your idea of whipped cream mixed with flavored yogurt.

What kind of yogurt do you use?

If you have a food processor, you might try grinding your own

flour from raw almonds. I did this, but I couldn't get it ground as

finely as the gourmet store-bought variety.

Where could you be headed over seas? I have always wanted to

visit New Zealand. What a shame to have to leave.

Gretchen
