Guest guest
Well, thank you everyone for the warm welcome and the informative links. I must say I am a bit overwhelmed. I never realized how much info was out there. And I am also shocked to see I have so many of the symptoms..lol..but I am still hoping my tests come back negative. I do have a question though, and the answer is prolly in the links somewhere but I haven't found it yet. Do any of you ever get a pulling sensation under your eyes? my eyes don't feel " gritty " I just get a pulling sensation, and they do get tired. Also, how about short term memory loss? Mine is so bad! It drives me crazy! and my fingers hurt sometimes so bad(which is prolly the ra) I apologize if these have been asked and answered before, please be patient with me. Eventually I will have time to read all you have recommended. As you know, my name is LouAnn. I live in New Hampshire. I have been married almost 19 years, and have 2 children, a son, 18, and a daughter 14. I have Itp (idiopathic thrombocytopenia purpura) and Rheumatiod arthritis. About 4 years ago I became really worn down and got a virus. It soon turned into Ra. Was also dx with thyroid issues(doesn't work..lol..) so was put on meds for that. none of the ra meds worked until methotrexate. was on it 2 years, (on other stuff for the first year) then started to ween off the other drugs (sulfasalazine, plaquinel, naproxen) and my platelets crashed. I went down to 1. had 2 platelet transfusions, didn't work. then 3 winrho infusions, (tried to work) then was dx with the h pylori virus. took meds for that, and wow, my counts came back. I am presently at 220,000. (normal is 150,000 - 450,000) last treatment was 10/31/2003. My rheumatologist seems to think I may have lupus (and I hope he is wrong) so had a bunch of blood taken and hopefully he won't call me..lol..which means good news..lol..anyway, I like to know whats going on and how to deal with things and that is how I came across you all here. I am really hoping this is negative, but am so grateful to have found this group just in case. I know if its positive I will have a load of questions. Thank you for taking me into your loving arms, just don't squeeze too tight, I bruise easy..lol... LouAnn
