Hi a,

I haven't been to Detroit to the new ball field yet. We don't get

up to MI too often. I'm sure it is nice. I remember when we used

to go, the old field was in a less than desirable area. May their

winning streak continue! Go Tigers!

Hugs,

Sherry

Hi Sherry: Is the new ball field as nice as they said it would be? I

lived there is Southfield when the ripped down the old ball field. I felt

like crying. That was my first base ball experience. In fact Bill Freeham

(Little ) to his neighbors. He was the catcher. Who lived 4 houses

away from my family home. And Al Kaline whom lived 4 blocks or so. Now

I'm in San Diego, Where we too have just opened our new Ball Field Down

Town... It is just beautiful. I can't wait until this Saturday Nights

game. We have Club Box with my Sisters Company. The Grand-opening

Ceromoney will take place that night. With the biggest fireworks San Diego

Down Town has ever seen. I guess they're suppose to be even bigger than the

Republician Convention years ago. We'll see. Go TIGERS AND PADREA'S

...BUSY........................

Thanks for the up beat note! I'm glad your husband is doing better now. I've

been taking the Metformin for only a few days now. My blood sugar seems to be

hanging out in the 150-160 range at fasting and 2 hours after eating. So that's

a little better than it was.

IT will get better, I promise! :) My sweet husband was diagnosed after we

got married in June of 1999. He took Metformin for a while and his blood sugars

were okay , like 150-190. Then for a while he decded to go tatally of

medications because we had no insurance. So he excersized a lot by riding his

bike back and forth to the bus stop everyday. One time his blood sugars were up

in the high. 300s. NOW though since we have insurance he has decided to take

the best care of himself, and he is taking Metformin and the Pen shot twice

daily. He is doing awesome with his blood sugars. Even though he has to take

Metformin and the Pen, I would rather have him be on that.

Any way, my point is, is that you can still be really healthy if you have

to go on Insulin or Metformin. My husband's grandfather is in his 90s and he

has had diabetes all his life. Just remember to eat healthy and remember that

God Loves YOU! God and your relatives love you and you are precious, even with

diabetes. I don't have diabetes, but I am definetely for improving every

diabetics life and finding a cure for it. There is the Walk for Diabetes that

goes on every year, and we like to participate in it when we can.

Take care Sherry and everyone dealing with it!

You'll be okay, as long as you watch your blood sugars and take your

medication!!
