I have been to both. I had a wonderful lupus support group that was very active in LA. We had a Rheumy who volunteered his time to head the group once a weeknight. He was my Rheumy. The group was large. I was newly dxed and was scared. They helped me learn so much and feel so much better. They even helped me with my husband's education.

I came to another town in N. CA and tried a "so called" support group. Four people showed up, including me. There is no Dr. helping. It was awfi;l. I quit going. It was dissolved. I found out the only one near hear is out of town too far to get to and I don't know if it is any better.

Hello everyone, I would like to know if any of you ever been to a support group, and what was it like. I figure, its either a support group or a therapist!!!!!
