Hi Sue,

Nowadays a feeling of itching has just started, is it also another

symptom of SLE??? A red stain on or close to the hands and fingers

appears time to time which need to be itched (sorry for some English

grammatic mistakes, by the way)

One month ago, with the fist swelling of knee joint, it was the same

thing again on the knees and hand fingers,i.e.( red stain and ithching

appearing and disappearing immediately)... Maybe now Celebrex increase

it???

Now I am changing the rheumy and on Monday I'll demand Anti-dsDNA and

Anti-Sm or many more in the university hospital.

By the way, keeping on working and promotions are very important for me,

I have no other choice than working hard, because many social security

problems exist here, and have no health insurance...This conflict is the

most depressing part for me (even more than the pains)

Welcome to the group Pelkin.

When my first labwork was done (sent out by a dermatologist who was

trying to help with a rash that had her mystified - she was sure it was

lupus but the tests were not definitive), the lab could not detect a

pattern. As I had mysterious hard red lumps under the rash, she had

sent out tissue samples as well as blood work. The local lab (a pretty

good one used by the teaching hospitals here) recommended sending more

samples out to a big " world renowned " pathologist in Philadelphia - and

he also was stumped. He thought it was likely early stages of changes

that would lead to a diagnosis of lupus one the pattern " settled " (which

is what the dermatologist had said to begin with - she's very sharp but

had only seen one other case like mine in the 25 years she's been in

practice). That's exactly what happened.
