Guest guest
After doing a strict Atkins for over 6 months (at the suggestion of our neuro), we are going to initiate the full ketogenic diet this next Tuesday, Aug 24. I am not sure if it will make much difference for us, but here's hoping. usually always has 80-160 count for ketones with Atkins. Somedays he is sz free and others he has 20 or so. I am thinking that because Atkins is not measurement precise we can use the precision of the ketogenic diet to close the gaps and become sz free all the time. We are going to be outpatient trained in food choice and preparation plus trained in how to use a computer program (don't know which program though). The dietician sounds very knowledgeable so I hope it will be s Hopkins quality. We will have to travel several hours to the dietician, but most of our contact will be by phone or email. Although I pushed the neuro to prescribe the keto diet, I admit I am nervous about actually doing it. fingers crossed, Pam, mom to 8yo and to 9 others ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the Internet in years - Juno SpeedBand! Since you've had such luck with the adkins diet I'd be willing to bet the keto with its exactitude will be the difference you're looking for.
