Guest guest
Itching Some causes of itching: liver problems - have a blood lipid / liver profile done kidney problems - impurities are not able to move out of the system and cause itching diabetes - high sugar levels cause the skin to tingle and itch; keep sugar levels low - eat less refined sugars - take insulin or oral meds to keep sugar in control cortisteroids - sometimes taking high doses of prednisone will cause swelling in our body, the skin is stretched a bit and the nerve endings reply with itchy feelings stress - high levels of stress cause our nervous system to become super sensitive If your sugar is under control, and your liver and kidneys are working fine, then work on your stress levels. Find soothing music to listen to, take a bath in oatmeal water, turn off the news for awhile and do something else. Good luck .. Guest guest
Hi guys I know for allergic reactions to anything benedryl is widely used, it's over the counter, but you should talk to your doctor before using anything to make sure there will be no contradictions with your other medications. Lin -- Re: APPLE PIE DAY Do you have any ideas about itching!!! Dawn, If you are itching due to pain meds, there are a couple of things you can take prior to taking the meds to help with the itching. They are antihistimines, and I can't remember the name(s) of the two that I've had. Ask your Dr, and if he doesn't know, let me know and I'll call my Dr. and ask him. Unforunately for me, they didn't work for me either, so I still can't take the pain meds. Hugs, Jo
