Guest guest
, I searched the archives again and found it this time. ~Barbara Where'd you grow up? I'm a couple hours north (again, after a long absence), but lived in Pgh for 5 years, too. sorry this took a few days, we have a new puppy and have been super busy. I got the recipe from the keto team, a parent took the time to do this. Knox Jello -dissolve 1 packet of know unflavored gelatin in 120cc of keto koolaid and let sit for 1 minute. In a microwave safe bowl heat 240 cc of keto koolaid for 3 mins or until boiling. Add the heated gelatin to the cold mix and stir to dissolve. Chill until set. This helps to complete the protien in some meals. Each packet is app. 7.3g of weight. Each packet contains 6.3g of protein. below are the values for the jello grams of jello grams of protein 17.5 .3 23.3 .4 29.1 .5 35.0 .6 40.8 .7 46.6 .8 52.5 .9 58.3 1.0 64.1 1.1 69.9 1.2 75.8 1.3 You can add fruit, just don't forget to calculate it. You can also make knox blocks for something different. I have also been able to save some cream and whip it on top. Hope this helps. --- End forwarded message ---
Guest guest
You're welcome! My daughter loves her sugar-free jello (mixed with mayo and sour cream or yogurt), but I'd like to get away from the aspartame so often. The keto koolaid is: 1 package Kool-Aid (not the sugar-free, the kind you would normally add sugar to; some of the flavors have maltodextrin, which some centers want you to avoid--ours says its ok in the kool-aid, since it's double-diluted) 2 T. Liquid saccharin (or sweetener approved by your center) 1 gallon (128 oz.) water (this double dilutes the kool-aid) --You can also add selzer water to give it some fizz-- I grew up in Clarion! Moved to So. Calif. for 14 years; then to Pittsburgh for 5; now I'm back in the Clarion area! ~Barbara K. McNeil wrote: > Thank you!
