Guest guest
Yes .. it is hard to accept that your life has suddenly turned topsy-turvy. But fighting the situation will not make it any better. So you learn to make concessions .. you learn to not ask too much from your body .. and when people get frustrated with you .. remember .. the frustration is THEIR problem .. it is NOT yours to take on. No one can make you angry .. or frustrated .. or hurt .. unless you ALLOW them! YOU must be in control of your body and feelings .. YOU must be the one who makes the decisions .. and if people dont like it .. well .. that is tough .. that is THEIR problem to deal with .. not yours. It's a kind of reverse tough love .. you have to be tough on yourself .. tough on your loved ones .. you must be more agressive in your care, if you expect to make your life half way livable when you have a serious disease whether it be Lupus or something else. You have to learn to say NO when they ask something of you that you know will harm you. And you have to tell yourself .. I will NOT feel guilty about this. You just have to remember that just because you have to say NO today, doesn't mean you can't say YES tomorrow! " Rion "
