Guest guest
Hi all, I am sorry I have been so quiet recently. I have been trying to keep up as best I can with the posts, as far as reading and now I have a question for you all. Can any of you tell me how you reacted to even a minor reduction in pred? I went from a moderate low dose of 20 to 17.5 and over the last month I have been in more pain and the inflimation and brain fog seem to also be much much worse. Any assistance in understanding how the change in dose has effected you would be so sincerely welcome and appreciated. Warmly, C.
Guest guest
, I'm sure by the time I got to your message you've already received a lot of replies. Anyway, here's my take. Everyone takes reducing prednisone differently. For example, I'm usually good with reducing until I get to 10mg. Then it's a slow go. It took me over 6 months to go from 10 mg to 0, but I got there. Just watch yourself and don't push. If it's too much don't rush it. Some people say it's impossible after and extended use of prednisone to get off of it. I did it twice, so it is possible but certainly not easy. Speak with your doctor and listen to your body. Give it some time to adjust to the new dosage before you decide it's not working. Good luck.
