Guest guest
We have been getting snow for 2 days now. Have had a winter snow advisory in effect since Thursday morning and it isn't suppose to stop till tomarrow. The first wave was a real storm and now it's just Lake effect snow. I got shopping to do still and I refuse to drive in teh snow. It scares me and we need to get new tires to top it off but that is waiting till the week after christmas. I miss California!!!!! Sorry you missed bowling but when it snows like that your best to just stay put. Rhonda > Hey buds, > Well looks like I am missing bowling tonight too. Guest guest
It's pretty as long as you don't got to go anywhere. It took us 40 min to get home from my dad's last night which is a 10 minute trip tops. It started to snow just as we were leaving and by the time I got the things I needed and we left the roads were terrible. Traffic was horrible with everyone crawling. People were sliding off the road everywhere I swear I was waiting for us to just go sliding or someone slide into us. Mother nature has a od sense of humor it seems like she only unleashes at rush hour!!! lol. I would go back to Cali in a heartbeat. We lived right outside Camp Pendalton in Oceanside. Not the grandest city in California but I could walk to the beach where we lived. Plus if you wanna see snow you can just head to teh mountians. Guest guest
I lived in California for 3 years. We were 30 miles north of San Diego. We were about 2 miles from the ocean..I even walked to it a few times with my son in a stroller it was so close. No snow there lol. Winter was like a mild fall in Ohio and it only lasted till early Feb and things started blooming and was beautiful again. I do miss it. The snow is pretty but it is very inconvient and I won't drive in the snow it scares me so it leaves me in housebound at times until the hubby gets home. Rhonda > Rhonda, have you been to California? I love the fact that there is no snow where I live. I am originally from Michigan, however, been here in California for 15 years and I must confess I have gotten spoiled. > CHRISTINE WETZEL > Re: Getting snowed in! > > > >
