Dear Natasha

How is ph doing? Has the diet worked for him? Just curious, as you seem so

well read and informed, but don't recall you mentioning just exactly how well he

is doing.

Oh, does your book give the stats on cherry juice? thanks.

Hey there, Natasha-

WOW - ph wakes up with at least 3.7? Just out of

curiosity, what are they at bedtime? That sounds

GREAT - I'd love for to wake up w/that high of

ketones b/c he definitely appears to do better

w/higher ketones (seizure wise) - HOWEVER, his ketones

slowly increase thruout the day and are 5.something or

register HI meaning over 6 at bedtime. I'd be afraid

he'd be too ketotic as the day progressed if he

started out that high. He's been pretty hyper the

past few days late afternoon and doesn't fall asleep

until late (doesn't take a nap either - and he's

nearly 3 yrs. old).

So I'm wondering if the rise in ketones have

something to do w/it. Do you give ph 4 meals or 5

per day? I have forgotten - how old/big is ph and

how many calories/protein/carbs/fat etc. does he get?

How's the seizure control for you? If you don't have

time - I'll go back thru the files section and catch

myself up. That's wonderful if you've found your

answer by increasing ratio!!

Thanks for the info.! Hoping ph has seizure free

days!

(mom to - will be 3 in Jan. ketokid

since 6/03 - med free and working on the seizure free

part but getting closer!!!!)

Dear Natasha

I read where ph was doing so well!!! You must be pretty happy about it, and

it will get better. Obviously you are tweeking the diet, as you have raised the

ratio and finding it works better at a higher ratio. That is great. And that

he is now worsening during illness is sure wonderful. I hope you can continue

to tweak and you finally end up with total seizure control. It has taken up

some mishaps and time, but I think we are getting there, too.

is the opposite of ph, and does better on lower ratio and lower ketones

with high ones only at night. That can be kind of tricky, but she has been down

to one seizure in both Sept. and October, so I am praying for none this month.

Are you doing alot of supplementing? If so, was it the keto team/dietitian that

recommended them, or your own research?

Thanks for the stats on the cherry juice. I went to the internet site and they

didn't have it. We live in " cherry country " actually called the Cherry Capitol

of the World, so we drink it, and it is so good for you. Anyway, thanks.

.... 's mumma (keto since May 04)

Hi

Yes I give ph quite a bit supplements.I started to give him

supplements on my own long time ago when he was not on the diet

yet.I've made my own research and desided what I wanted him to

take.Right now he continues to take the same supplements and a

couple of new ones that was suggested by our dietitian.

CHO is carbohydrates ,sorry for confusion.I am not sure why CHO,but

this is how our dietitian calls crbohydrates

Thanks, Natasha. I am glad that ph is doing so well, and that you got a

meal planner set up. It will save you lots of time, and they are fun to use.

It makes tweeking the diet easier, too.

Thanks for your help..........
