I haven't done Atkins, but I've been on a moderate/low-carb plan since

September. I am Italian/Irish, and cook from scratch every day, so it was

very difficult for me to give up, or reduce considerably, foods I once

considered " staples of life. " LOL When I was dx'd with PCOS in Sept;

however, I didn't have much choice.

I wouldn't bother with any " diet pill " though. I think they are all BULL!

I have tried many in my life, with minimal to zero results, and as soon

as you go off them, the weight comes right back on. Guaranteed! The last

one I bought was Leptoprin, which was *very* expensive. I tried it for 2

weeks and ended up throwing out nearly the whole bottle after a lecture

from Gena. LOL!

Eating and exericise plans are very personal things. You have to find

what is right for *you*, what works for *you*, in terms of success in

weight loss, motivation, and the ability to stick with it for life. Many

of us have health conditions/problems that explain why my plan may not

work for you or vice versa. I do know, however, that moderate exercise,

lots of water and portion control work for most everyone. Don't forget

sufficient sleep- being tired and cranky triggers overeating and making

poor choices, since when we're too tired to fix a healthy breakfast, we

just grab a doughnut!

I would suggest first to determine what *hasn't* worked for you in the

past, and by process of elimination, and trial and error, figure out what

may work better for you in the future.

Has anyone been on the Atkins diet? I've been thinking about trying

it out. I absolutely love italian food though, pasta, noodles, all

that kinda stuff. But I know I'll have to cut that all out if I join

the Atkins diet. If you have tried it, did it work out well for you?

Also, I've seen the commerical on tv about . She

lost tons of weight on the Trimspa pill. It seems like it's safe to

take, but I've never take a diet pill before. Just wondering if

anyone tried Trimspa?

Thanx for the input =) ~absolut_angel73~

Angel,

Diet pills are iffy and in my opinion not healthy. Yes I have used them and they

did work, but only short term and the weight came back because I didn't learn to

eat right.

I would stay away from any kind of quick fix, you don't know what is in it for

sure and your health is more important.

I don't think I would do anything that did...she isn't flying with

all her engines running.
