Guest guest
I haven't done Atkins, but I've been on a moderate/low-carb plan since September. I am Italian/Irish, and cook from scratch every day, so it was very difficult for me to give up, or reduce considerably, foods I once considered " staples of life. " LOL When I was dx'd with PCOS in Sept; however, I didn't have much choice. I wouldn't bother with any " diet pill " though. I think they are all BULL! I have tried many in my life, with minimal to zero results, and as soon as you go off them, the weight comes right back on. Guaranteed! The last one I bought was Leptoprin, which was *very* expensive. I tried it for 2 weeks and ended up throwing out nearly the whole bottle after a lecture from Gena. LOL! Eating and exericise plans are very personal things. You have to find what is right for *you*, what works for *you*, in terms of success in weight loss, motivation, and the ability to stick with it for life. Many of us have health conditions/problems that explain why my plan may not work for you or vice versa. I do know, however, that moderate exercise, lots of water and portion control work for most everyone. Don't forget sufficient sleep- being tired and cranky triggers overeating and making poor choices, since when we're too tired to fix a healthy breakfast, we just grab a doughnut! I would suggest first to determine what *hasn't* worked for you in the past, and by process of elimination, and trial and error, figure out what may work better for you in the future. I absolutely love italian food though, pasta, noodles, all that kinda stuff. But I know I'll have to cut that all out if I join the Atkins diet. If you have tried it, did it work out well for you? Also, I've seen the commerical on tv about . She lost tons of weight on the Trimspa pill. It seems like it's safe to take, but I've never take a diet pill before. Just wondering if anyone tried Trimspa? Thanx for the input =) ~absolut_angel73~
Guest guest
Angel, Diet pills are iffy and in my opinion not healthy. Yes I have used them and they did work, but only short term and the weight came back because I didn't learn to eat right. I would stay away from any kind of quick fix, you don't know what is in it for sure and your health is more important. I don't think I would do anything that did...she isn't flying with all her engines running. Jo
