People with lupus who don't get enough vitamin C are more than likely to develop active desease than those who do. Those consuming low amounts (less than 109 milligrams/day) had 52% chance of going from inactive to active disease. Those consuming high amounts (more than 154 mg/day) had only a 25% chance.
