Guest guest
Thanks so much for the great recipe ideas. I'm willing to try ANYTHING!!! It's great to have other parents in the same boat. We watch our kids suffer with seizures, cognitive issues,& med side effects only to offer them this restrictive diet and tell them it's for their own good. I feel terrible. I'm going to keep encouraging her and offer gifts, hugs, kisses and whatever else I can to keep her motivated. Hayley is on a 3:5:1 ratio....pretty restrictive from what I've seen so far. Bread is her biggest complaint right now. If she knew she could have a pita( low carb) pocket even once a day that would be HUGE for her. I'll keep reading all the great suggestions, you guys are the REAL experts in my opinion. Thanks for all the support. By the way, her ketones are high(160+) her specific gravity is about 1.020 so I think she's doing really well so far. No seizures since starting the diet( YEAH). I'll keep you posted. ~ __________________________________________________

Guest guest
I do not know how " sensitive " your child is with the diet My daughter tolerates the " low carb Depot Bread " --it has equal carbs and protein--easy to put into a 3.5:1 ratio This is the ratio my daughter was on for 2 yrs We made muffins from ground macadamia nuts for the flour-- Check all these great recipes on the keto Yahoo site-- Sandi
