Guest guest
I would like to move there. I love the Gulf area. My uncle used to live below Tampa and it is beautiful! It is very hard to move across country and look for a job. It was extremely hard for us to just move from S. CA to N. CA about 10 years ago, let alone all across the country. Cheryl in CA -- RE: St. sburg St. Pete is below Tampa on the Gulf Coast. It and Clearwater are favorite hang outs for the "snow birds".. the people who come down south to winter in Florida. Because of this trend, the health options are pretty good as many of the snow birds are elderly. There are numerous doctors and specialists and a fairly good hospital or two. St. sburg’s hospitals have a lot to brag about – All Children’s Hospital was recently ranked the No. 1 Children’s Hospital in Florida and Bayfront Medical Center was recently ranked in the top 100 hospitals in the U.S. About an hour away is Tampa General Hospital and they have a kind of unique set up there called, "Care Pages". You can set up a web site for someone who is hospitalized and people can get updates on their health, how long they are going to be there, etc.St. Pete has a wonderful info web site .. http://www.stpete.org/cityservices.htmit can give you not only the businesses in the area, but a description of the area neighborhoods. Armed with this info and a street map of St. Pete and you can practically pick out where you want to live before you start the never ending decisions on where to rent or buy. Here http://stpeteshines.stpete.org/default.asp you can read about the tax structures (there is no state tax, but the area counties range sale tax from 6% -9% depending on where you are. This site also contains business opportunities, arts programs, libraries, and maps of downtown and areas around the main downtown of St. sburg.St. sburg is on the Gulf of Mexico and is quite popular. Tourists love the beaches which give the area cooling breezes in the hot Florida summers. But because of the beaches and other amenities the city offers such as baseball and a large arts program, traffic can sometimes be a mess, especially during the winter time .. the peak season. Summer time traffic is just about like anywhere else in Florida bigger cities.. pretty steady but bumper to bumper during the rush hours.Hope this helps .. .. ____________________________________________________ IncrediMail - Email has finally evolved - Click Here
