Guest guest
alcohol metbolizes to carbs Re: Bickfords Flavorings Yeah, we were led to believe that Bickford flavorings were THE flavorings for keto. After that post yesterday I went and looked at the (big) bottles we just bought. The Vanilla is 35% alcohol. I don't know if that is OK, or normal, or ???. The other real vanilla we have from pre-keto has corn syrup in it, so at least it's better than that. The chocolate flavoring's first ingredient is propylene glycol. Same for the coffee flavoring. After doing a quick search on this, I'm convinced its not something I want to be giving my kid (or even something I'd want to take myself). I couldn't find any specific carb information, but I did notice many other carb free foods list this as an ingredient. - P.S. Anybody want to buy a big bottle of chocolate flavoring? > > hi all! > I did a quick search and couldn't find the posting from yesterday (i > think!) in which someone mentioned Bickford's flavorings and that it > contained something that converted to glucose.
