Guest guest
Hi Yes linseed is the same as flax. I don't use a ground one, just cracked. However, I would have thought the ground one should work too. Maybe the proportions of ingredients you are using are different to mine. I use: 32g butter 26g beaten egg 20g ground almonds (almond flour) 7g linseed liquid sweetener per muffin. This is 427 calories 4:1 ratio. Obviously your ground almonds and flax seed may well have different values, but this is the proportions that work for us. I have made a sloppier mix which still baked well. All I do is just put all the ingredients in the bowl together and beat with an electric mixer for 2-3 minutes. You can easily multiply up the quantities and bake in a cake tin. What quantities did you use and what went wrong, maybe I can help??? To decorate, cream whipped really really stiff and coloured can be piped quite easily. Good luck. , Mum to Francesca, Keto Kid since Sept 03 > Hi Emma, I've tried to make your cake and muffin recipes without much > success, i'm hoping you can help me, I have a birthday this thursday > and would like to make something for Stella to eat at the party. her > cals for the day 1275 with 21g of protein and a 4.0-1 ratio.
