Guest guest
Hi Barbara, It seems to me that you should try the diet without the meds before giving up. My doctor always said, " the diet works best without meds. " My 11 year-old son's seizures did not stop until he was off meds. But, some of those siezures may have been due to withdrawal as the meds were weaned. If you have success after taking her off meds, it might be hard to convince her to stay on the diet a few more years, but then, maybe she would improve enough to want to stay on the diet. There is also the small possibility that the meds are causing her seizures (or making them worse). Best wishes. Hello to all my other pals out there! I might have missed news from you all, since I haven't even been lurking much in the last few weeks (much less posting). I love you all, and those special kids, too!
