Guest guest
Hi Tracey, I try to limit my daughters intake of aspartame but so far I've not seen any relationship with seizures for her. Like yourself, I have read the articles warning about it and like , I get migraines from it. I have read much about the negativity of ingesting it beyond seizure related issues. I try to avoid it. That said, sometimes, my daughter, now 20 insists on a diet coke and I give in. Trudy Aspartame In the last couple of days I have seen newspaper articles about this sweetner. I've read that it can cause difficulties with seizures and other illness. Is there an actually test to find out if your child has problems with Aspartame and is this something that I should bring up to my son's doctor? I know it might be reaching but if this is what's causing his seizures to increase, its an easy fix I think. But like I said, I " m probably reaching. Thanks to all for all the advice the last couple of days. You have no idea how much this group has helped. I've even gotten my husband to read some of the replies and he was impressed. This has been a long road for all of us especially my husband who wants a son who could play sports and stay outside and play until it's dark outside. I think this summer has been the eye opening that he's needed. ~Jake's mom " The Ketogenic Diet....a realistic treatment option, NOT just a last resort! " List is for parent to parent support only.
