Guest guest
I don't use them at all. Mainly because there are healthier choices. With such a limitation on the food, it doesn't make sense to me to use such foods with little nutrition. We use chicken or fish mostly, sometimes other roasted meat. If, on the other hand, that's the only thing your child will eat, then you don't have a choice, but to wait for better times. Bill dreamerofluna wrote: > > How often do you give processed meats? Guest guest
Noah gets bacon at least once a day (his favorite breakfast food) and hotdogs maybe once a week, if that. It's usually our " take out " meal if we go somewhere. Mom to Noah- age 3, med-free, & seizure-free on the keto diet dreamerofluna dreamerofluna@...> wrote: How often do you give processed meats? Guest guest
I rarely give processed stuff because of the additives but I can make a wicked beefburger! Minced beef steak and egg in the ratio 4:1 and a bit of salt and pepper. Mash up until it starts to go sticky - shape into patty and fry. Ben loves this meal, though I don't do it often because he prefers it with ketchup (we can substitute a bit of veg with ketchup) and I'd rather he mostly had the fibre from the veg. You can never win, can you! Rose, mum of Ben (9) keto kid since Feb, drug-free since end Sept, quite a few seizures still but all tiny myoclonics instead of episodes up to 3 minutes long, happy as Larry (most of the time!)
