Guest guest
Well, my homeowner's insurance told me that it would cover a part of the wheelchair.. after my deductible .. which is $500 .. hell .. the wheelchair is around $350 - $400 .. so the point is mute .. they wont cover the dog harness at all .. a couple of friends in my dog training club said not too worry about the harness, that they are going to see what can be done. The auto dealership has signs all over the place saying they dont cover articles left in vehicles .. so according to my lawyer, they dont have to cover it.. so it is my own fault for leaving the wheelchair in the van .. I guess I was stupid in trusting people to not take it .. guess people will steal anything now adays. I have called the area thrift stores and put my name on their waiting lists for a wheelchair.. seems like I am not the only one looking for a cheap wheelchair.. there are 31 people ahead of me on the list at Goodwill .. I saw one in the paper Saturday morning and called.. she said someone bought it already .. she told me that she put the ad in the paper for Saturday and Sunday only .. and the wheelchair was gone by 8 am on Saturday .. Yes .. I could put the wheelchair on Visa .. and be done with it .. but I am having a hard enough time paying off Visa now with me not working and my hubby on reduced hours. So .. I will be patient and wait .. something will show up .. got to have faith .. I am not giving up .. not yet .. but I am really tired of dealing with crap .. I am running a fever that wont go down below 101° with this pneumonia and the coughing is wearing me out. ok .. going back to lie down .. I am kind of light headed this morning .. and just .. just tired .. real real tired.. hugs ..
Guest guest
, I think that damned dealership should offer to replace the chair as a good will gesture. After all, they don't need adverse publicity over this kind of thing. Honey, just call the local paper. Or, have your husband do it. I betcha you will get a replacement out of that dealership, yet. Prayers going up for you. Loving hugs, MM
Guest guest
-I am so sorry to hear of your troubles. It just horrifies me that there are assholes out there that would actually steal someones wheelchair! Kindness to our fellow human beings really takes a kick in the teeth with that one. Keep the faith and you will be in my prayers, Pam-- In LUPIES , BSewell <bsewell@c...> wrote: > Well, my homeowner's insurance told me that it would cover a part of the > wheelchair.. > after my deductible .. which is $500 .. > hell .. the wheelchair is around $350 - $400 .. > so the point is mute .. > they wont cover the dog harness at all .. > > a couple of friends in my dog training club said not too worry about the > harness, that they are going to see what can be done. > > The auto dealership has signs all over the place saying they dont cover > articles left in vehicles .. > so according to my lawyer, they dont have to cover it.. > so it is my own fault for leaving the wheelchair in the van .. > I guess I was stupid in trusting people to not take it .. > guess people will steal anything now adays. > > I have called the area thrift stores and put my name on their waiting > lists for a wheelchair.. > seems like I am not the only one looking for a cheap wheelchair.. > there are 31 people ahead of me on the list at Goodwill .. > > I saw one in the paper Saturday morning and called.. > she said someone bought it already .. she told me that she put the ad in > the paper for Saturday and Sunday only .. > and the wheelchair was gone by 8 am on Saturday .. > > Yes ..
