Guest guest
Kim, We started the diet at Hopkins last January. Jane was very helpful with meals. After the first 3 months I went to the recipes files here and asked her to calculate meals for us. It has really worked. As for the pancakes, I use the recipe that Jane gave me. It is eggs, cottage cheese, butter, cream and fruit or vegetable. I seperate the egg white from the yolk and measure that (making the white more than the yolk). I mix the white (like you would a merigue) and then add yolk and cottage cheese together. Cook in a pan with Pam. I always seem to end up with 4 little pancakes (quantity matters at our house). I melt the butter and add liquid sweet and low and maple flavoring as her syrup. That has been her breakfast every day since home from the hospital. It is labor intensive as far as meals are concerned but I thought it was the least I could do for her. I think when you start the diet you will be dealing with the new dietician and I have only had contact with her once while Jane was still there. Good luck. You will like it and be amazed at the difference in care. ~
