Guest guest
Hmm, just copied and pasted this below from an article that came up on borage oil and seizures , looks like a bit of a worry ? The article also says to use with caution when mixing with other oils such as fish oils. The full link is http://www.gettingwell.com/drug_info/nmdrugprofiles/nutsupdrugs/bor_0039.shtml PRECAUTIONS Pregnant women and nursing mothers should avoid using borage oil supplements. Those with a history of partial complex seizure disorders, such as temporal lobe epilepsy, should avoid using borage oil. Likewise, those with other types of seizure disorders and schizophrenics who are being treated with certain neuroleptic drugs, such as aliphatic phenothiazines (e.g. chlorpromazine), which may lower seizure threshold, should avoid using borage oil. Because of possible antithrombotic activity of borage oil, those with hemophilia or other hemorrhagic diatheses and those taking warfarin should exercise caution in the use of this supplement. Borage oil supplementation should be halted before any surgical procedure.

Guest guest
Not checked my email for awhile so this might have been mentioned, we use Eye -Q fish oil, after trying others , this had the least effect on seizures, you can get it online, Nicola, UK
Guest guest
It is well known that borage oil and evening primrose oil lower the seizure threshold. See the " Complementary and Alternative Medicine Conference in New York City in November, 2001 " ; reported in " Epilepsy Matters " the newsletter of the Canadian Epilepsy Alliance, Vol. 2, Issue 3, Fall 2002.
