Guest guest
My, you have a lot of things going with you. You came to the right place. Many of us are like you, having many things wrong with us. I have systemic lupus, fibromyalgia, IBS, TMJ dysfunction, beguine familial tremor, interstitial cystitis, arthritis, osteoporosis, degenerative disk disease, and I'm nuts on top of it. I too had Dr's tell me it is all in my head for many years. A lot of us went through that before getting to a good Rheumatologist. I even had a Dr tell me not to think so much about myself! Well, I may be nuts, but I'm not a hypochondriac! I suffer from depression due to chemical imbalance caused by lupus and fibro. I am 57yrs old. Both of my 2 kids are grown and gone. I have 3 grandchildren all living out of state. Cheryl in CA -- Thank-you all Hi My Name is , I want to thank every one of you who sent me a "welcome", that was a very warm reception. In time I hope to get to know many of you. I was a part of another on-line support group, (I won't mention any names) and did my intro several times with not much of a response, I already feel more welcome here, and I haven't even written in yet! Thank-you. I am 49 years old and married to a great guy named Darrel. I have 2 beautiful daughters, a step-son, and a step-daughter (all married with families of their own). I have one wonderful grand-daughter, and four super step grand-children. We live in the mountains in northern Arizona, and have two dogs and two kitties, (Tinker, Gracie, Merlin, & Buddy). I love the way that you worded it Deanna, "fur babies." I have MCTD, (Mixed connective tissue disease) with lupus being the primary illness involved. I have Raynauds, Sjorgren's Syndrome, poly-myositis, and probably a few more, but at the moment I can't seem think of them. Imagine that, I must be in "mental pause!" LOL! I have had this illness all of my life, but for so many years was just told that it was ll in my head. It was in 1990 that I REALLY began to get sick, by 1993 I resigned from the medical profession and was put on permanent medical disability. I have learned to live "one day at a time" and have a love for family, friends, and life. I am so looking forward to finding some new friends here, thanks for being here for me and many others.
