,

had several accidents too when he was seizuring last week. So

frustrating to have them go backwards in development and yet those seizures

can literally crumble a child in days.

We are from Indianapolis, IN. Not that far from Michigan. My hubby and I

are reading the " book " again too. I also went to the Charlie Foundation

website and I find that to be the most encouraging of all. That boy was on the

diet a LONG time and is now off. He is my hero.

, you hang in there and be strong and know that you have support from

all of us here. That is what is so great about this list.

Dear

I have never gone to that website, but will.

Yes, we were so proud of her, as with keto came potty training... almost 100%.

Today she was sitting in my lap and wet through both of us. Yikes it is a

strange feeling - warm and wet, and right through everything! And, at age five

the pullups just don't do it!

Have been to your big city. For a small town girl, it was a bit overwhelming,

and as I recall I got lost and ended up circling the city, as there is a loop

all they way around. Correct?

Northern MI is quieter, and slower. As am I. :-) .

Hi , I'm so sorry to hear that started having seizures

again. Sorry, I haven't been on the computer much lately and just

read some posts. was doing so well, I know you will figure it

out if you haven't already.

Sunday was Kristan's birthday and she is now 2 years old! She slept

through her birthday, we were sad as she was having such a rough

time, we did have a cake and appetizers for the family and at least

her little cousin's were excited for her. She's had a rough week,

things seem to be calming down a little, she is over the pneumonia,

but this kid has lost her appetite again, the doctor said it could be

the effects of the antibiotic. She has lost 1.5 pounds from not

taking her bottle or eating. She had 19 seizures yesterday and today

has had 4, but the previous week was anywhere from 50 to 87 a day.

I hope is doing better and no more seizures.

Dear Satnam

Oh, how nice... a birthday. Personally, I'd rather sleep through mine, too.

Good seizure count is going down. It has been a long haul for ...even more

than pre keto, which has me miffed. She is pulling out, though. Only three

last night. Kind of doggy today, just sitting, not doing much of anything.

Tired and worn looking.

I have upped her ratio, lowered her calories and waiting for all to kick in.

She is low to mid range ketones, but after reading the keto book I am aiming for

higher ketones and hoping she will adjust to them. With her change in mood on

lower ratios, I am set to have her on higher ones, as hate her being so nasty.

She is generally such a sweetie.

And, I have convinced myself that it is easier to get ketones down, than to get

them up, so I will go for higher and keep apples and apple juice on hand.

Hope this week is sees a totally recovery for Kristan. Winter is only begun!

When I read of flu season I decide to stay home and healthy! .

Hi , poor , she must be so wiped out from the seizures.

Are they very strong?

We went and saw the chiropractor today and had our consultation. I'm

so excited! I know he can't cure her, but I had a good feeling about

it. He said he can only try and he can't make her worse and he said

he wouldn't even charge us! Of course, we told him that wouldn't be

right, he said we could work something out later. He made us feel so

comfortable and wasn't pushy and said it is totally up to us if we

wanted to proceed and also said it's good that she is off the meds as

he is a strong believer that the drugs just make things worse for the

body. I mentioned to him that I think the vaccination has something

to do with her having seizures and he said we would be there forever

if we got him talking about that. Basically, he said you shouldn't

do them and that most chiropractors who have kids never vaccinate

their kids and there was some survey or study done on kids immune

systems to see whose would be better, kids of chiropractors who are

not vaccinated and kids who are vaccinated and the chiropractors'

kids who were not vaccinated had the better immune systems. I think

he felt sorry for us after hearing Kristan's story. He has treated

kids with seizures and said every kid is different, we won't know

until we try if chiro treatment will be beneficial for her. Even if

her seizures don't come down, the chiro treatment just may make her

feel better overall, it could help with development. It's worth a

try. We go for her first treatment on Friday. I'm going to try to

not get my hopes up, but I probably will. Wish us luck.

Kristan is doing much better today and has taken more of her formula

today.

I pray no more seizures for . I will let you know how Friday's

appointment goes.
