Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Just thought I'd take a moment to introduce (or re-introduce) myself. My name is Tracey, I'm just shy of 41 years old and I live in Canada. I was very ill for many years from some major medical problems I had (my problems were the result of " ensteinian " doctor who performed his " own " experimental surgery on me rather than the one I signed up for - and he never informed me, or his many other victims, of his experiments) I was ill enough that on several occasions my family was called to hospital as I was not " expected to make it through the night " (harder on them than me, I was barely aware of anything) and was finally put into the hospital for Palliative Care (read: make me comfortable until I die) when another surgeon bravely stepped in and offered to " try " to do " something " that might help me. Well, it was worth the gamble - not all my medical issues are gone, nor will they ever be, but I am much heather (healthier - not healthy necessarily) However, as some of my problems improved, some did not, and new ones kept popping up. I was finally diagnosed as having Lupus last year. I may have had it for many years, but up until now the symptoms (I do not have the rash) could all easily be explained by my other problems so no one was looking for any other reasons. So I don't know how " far advanced " I am - how much of my organ damage is from the Lupus and how much from my other medical problems is difficult - if not impossible - to sort out - likely " half a dozen of one and 6 of the other " . Anyway, I'm trying to learn about Lupus, which is why I joined the group quite awhile back. However, medical issues - Lupus and non- Lupus related - have prevented me from being an " active " member of the group. I asked to continue being a member of the group, as I do come and read sometimes, but I am not able to be very " active " in the group - at least not right now. I am, however, grateful that this group exists - I learn something new each time I come to read, and there is " security " knowing you are all here to offer me support and information if I need it. Thanks and I hope to be participating more in the near future. Take care Tracey
