I'm Gena. :-) Now to answer your question, a good formula is take your goal weight, times 10 so in your case that would come to 1500-1600 cals a day. If you are active and exercise 3 or more times a week then you can have 100-300 more a day. So yes, to lose weight, you should be under 2000 cals a day.
