He's on the MCT version of the diet (doing horribly right now)...gets solids by mouth, liquids/meds/MCT oil, etc. via the tube.
Guest guest
Mike was an incredibly social toddler/preschooler. He started having seizures just before he turned 4 years old. He is 7 now and this is his 3rd year in school (two years in K and now this year in Grade 1) He is now just starting to interact with the kids. He likes to be around them, but plays beside them or close but now with anyone (reminds me of a 2 yr old when they are just starting to play etc) Now his aides at school are saying he likes to play with kids and will join in if asked or prompted but still doesnt go up to anyone and ask to play. I assume that will come eventually. So, for Mike, it was something he outgrew and it got better when meds were reduced etc. Still isnt where he was before, but it is slowly getting better. Mike still doesnt always acknowledge people when we are in the same room, unless we talk to him directly and even then sometimes we still just get grunts (depends on the day he is having and his mood) Jenn a development question For those of you who have had a child whose interaction skills were like " nill " - do they ever " snap " or grow out of it?
