Yahoo! Messenger with Voice. Make PC-to-Phone Calls to the US (and 30+ countries) for 2¢/min or less.
Guest guest
Yup. At least the one here does! Decorated and all. But you need to order in advance. Good luck! Guest guest
I just called 3 by me, and none of them do cakes. They said because they use so much wheat flour in other cakes, they avoid making gf cakes because of cross contamination possibilities Where do you live? They said the Raleigh, NC Whole Foods makes gf cakes there, as they have a dedicated gf facility. esther_p210 wrote: Yup. At least the one here does! Guest guest
, I just did a google search and came up with this DC bakery that claims to prepare some gluten-free cakes---I don't know anything about them and they also have gluten-laden cakes, so I don't know what the cross-contamination factor will be, but it certainly is worth a phone call..... http://www.stickyfingersbakery.com/sweets.html hope this helps! Can the Raleigh, NC make you one and have it shipped? You'd need plenty of advance time for that, and it would probably cost on the shipping... But a gal's gotta do what a gal's gotta do. Good luck! Sorry my idea didn't pan out easily for you. Esther in RI
Guest guest
& Esther, Thanks for the information!! I may try to call the NC bakery if the sticky fingers bakery doesn't sound like they're "safe." I appreciate both of you searching. Guest guest
, Do you know about Mr Ritt's Bakery in Philadelphia? They would be able to ship a gluten free cake to DC for you. I highly recommend their products - very tasty! (also corn free) And if you are ordering... make sure you order some bread too! They make the BEST bread I've had yet. I have them send it to me all the way out here in Santa Barbara The only drawback is that I've gained 8lbs since finding them! I just tried their website - it seems to be down but their phone # is www.mrritts.com Hope this helps Rhonda > > > > > > Hi Everyone, > > > Does anyone by chance know of a place where I could order a gluten > free > > > cake for a shower in the Washington, DC area? > > > > > > Thanks! > > > > > > > > > > No " Whole Foods " in the area? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > --------------------------------- > > Yahoo! Guest guest
You might want to try Natalia's Elegant Creations. She's in Falls Church, VA (I think). When you look at the web site, she has a link for the gluten free cakes - they look very yummy! I've never ordered from her, but have spoken to her on the phone some time ago. http://nataliaselegantcreations.com/
