Took me long enough to answer eh? I've been very sick, and in and out

of hospital and ER the past several months. I was hospitilized 5 times,

and just got back from last one. First time was methotrexate toxicity,

then we discovered I have porphyria...well we " thought " that was what it

was. Turns out I was misdiagnosed by the hematologist...glad I got a

2nd opinion! Anyway, while we thought I had porphyria, I had to stop

all my ra/lupus meds b/c many of them trigger the porphyria attacks. So

of course had horrible flareups from that. Then, once we got me back on

my meds and I started getting a bit better, my gallbladder kicked in. I

had to take it out, it was full of tiny stones. I had no idea that one

little organ could make a person so incredibly sick....but it did. I

could tell I felt better the minute I awoke in recovery....it was that

fast of a difference.

I'm slowly recovering at home now, and am waaaaaay behind on emails.

Hopefully I " ll catch up somewhat soon and then I'll feel up to posting

again too. I have several doc appts (as followups to all this mess the

past few months) and then should be able to join back in. You are more

than welcome to share this with the group if you feel they want an

update. Didn't mean to just go MIA...I got so sick, so fast and I'm

still learning my way around these diseases (as far as knowing what to

expect, etc).

To top things off, one of my oldest kitties (he's 13) probably has

cancer and will have to be put down (we go for the ultrasound Monday).

Thanks for dropping a line, hopefully I'm over the worst of

everything....I better be anyway, LOL. Also thanks for all the

info....when I've been able to read the emails here they have had a lot

of good information in them, it's a great

group.
