Guest guest
Dawn, you are right that no one understands. I am sorry to say, even my husband has a hard time understanding. He just kind of forgets. It is only natural. Don’t let it bother you. I just accept it. Sometimes my husband says:” why can’t you?” & I just say: “Gee, I think I have lupus”. We kind of laugh about it. We understand Dawn, so let it all out here. You may be able to find one friend or maybe your mother if you have one who will eventually understand too. As for your depression, it often comes with the illness. People with lupus have chemical problems in the brain and it makes us depressed and keeps us from sleeping well. You might ask the Dr. for help with that. It seems only natural doesn’t it for someone to be depressed when they can’t do the things they used to do? It takes time to adjust. How long have you been diagnosed? Cheryl in CA >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>I think I am depressed or something. Here’s what I've figured out about myself: I'm always on edge and get upset very very easily. I wonder if thats just my meds, or the whole Lupus thing, or just the fact that I have a disease and I can't do nothing to fix it. It might also be the fact that meds are so expensive for me and money is pretty tight..
