Guest guest
We are considering one for my son. He has drop and generalized tonic seizures. Where did you have it done? Are you saying she did leads on the brain (grid mapping) for a week prior to the CC? My neuro said he would just do an MRI and EEG before...but didn't have to do more invasive than that. Wondering about that. Barb Swoyer, Jake's mom Re: casey and corpus collasotomy > Casey has genrelized tonic clonic seizures that would start on one > side of the brain and move to the other side. Guest guest
Have you heard of this procedure for drop seizures? Do they call your drops atonics? Just curious. Lately we're questioning what kind of seizures he is having. After all of these years, still wondering. He has head drops that sometimes involve shoulders when he will lean forward. Guest guest
Yes, yes, yes, that's why they are suggesting it for Jake. Guest guest
There was a boy at the hospital that did have drop seizures he had a partal only 70% seperation of the corpus. I would ask your doctor about it or if you want I could give the number to Casey's nero in Texas I don't know where you are so not sure if it would help? Guest guest
Yes she did have the grids placed because they were hoping she could have the damaged portion removed but found out after that it was to big and involved both the right and left frontal lobs. We did the surgrey in Houston Texas at Memorial Herman hospital in the EMU unit. It was so worth it to do the operation Casey is doing so much better and is talking, walking and eating so much better. Just know taht after the surgery that he is going to be basicly a vegatable for the first day or two and then it is like a light switch comes on and things will slowly come back. We were able to go home 5 days after the surgery because Casey did so well. Carol Casey's mom > > > I'm curious about that procedure. What kind of seizures?
