I have a few friends with Cf who have had transplants years ago now. They said

they dont techinically have Cf anymore as the lungs were the major thing, but

they take bags of anti-rejection drugs and still enzymes of course. They are

all doing very well. One of them had a heart & double lung about 12 years ago.

They keep themselves very fit and look after there health. They love it that

there is no more physio needed at all. Gee that would be great.

Hey ,

is the guy that you are talking about with cf and had the double lung

& heart transplant name Brad?? If so he was on the radio on Thursday

for an hour talking about cf and how he is now - he is in his late

30's I think?? Anyway, I tried to get on the radio to talk to him and

then I was going to put in my bit about how Centrelink does not

recognise CF, but they wouldnt let me go on!!! damn!!

I think Kristy is the one in Clinic on Monday, I am passing through

at some stage as I am in desperate need of medications. I think Dr

is on Holidays?? Oh well they will have to let me see someone

else.

Yes, this is what I've heard about transplants also. That after the

transplants, CPT, etc. isn't done anymore. I've never understood this because I

would think the thick mucus would still be produced- thus causing the cycle to

begin again.
