Kathleen,

I read your story about Isaac with great interest. For 4 years we

had doctors who were opposed to the ketogenic diet. " it is too

hard " . I am so glad that our doctor left a year ago, to go into

private practice in another state, because at that point we were

placed with another doctor in the same hospital who was all for the

ketogenic diet. It amazed me that even within the same hospital as

doctors who readily use the ketogenic diet, there could have been a

doctor so oppossed to it. Now that I see how well it works, I have

a hard time believing there are still nuerologists opposed to it,

even though just a year ago I was in tears with our old doctor as he

kept suggesting new meds to try, still opposing keto. I know I need

to fire off a polite letter to these doctors about my son's success,

but I haven't done so, yet. Where are the doctors you mentioned

who will not support your son on keto? This has just got to

change! I'd like to write to those doctors, too. No names

mentioned.
