We will be in Boston for 3 days, then in Sumgglers Notch VT for 8 days and later in ville Florida (where my in-laws live). Is anyone from the list interested in meeting up in or near any of those places. It would be so lovely to put names to faces, and it would be great for (our almost 4 year old deaf son) to meet up with some deaf friends. If anyone is interested, please feel free to e-mail me off line. Guest guest Posted July 10, 2006 Report Share Posted July 10, 2006 Felicity, Oh, too bad, I am at Smuggler's Notch right now with my HOH 5 year old son! They would have had so much fun together and I wsould have gotten to meet you as well! What week are you going to be there, because there is a small chance that we will be comming back again in August, we are still waiting to hear if we can trade our floater week which falls in the spring (mud season here) and come again this summer instead. So far we haven't heard anything back yet. We are having so much fun here, we've been coming for 3 years and we were so impressed with the SNAP program and what they did for Bobby that we bought a time share. Kris Connely and the SNAP counselors are top in my book. The whole place is wonderful. Oh, and here's another pearl. Yestersay I went to get my son at a pool, and (talk about stupid comments but I was shocked and excited) I saw that one of his counselors had a hearing aid! Isaid to this young woman, " Oh, you have a hearing aid! " (Jill, I was thinking about your daughter's comeback of " Yea, and I can turn it off so I don't have to hear people like you!) Actually it was a CI, she's had it since whe was two, she speaks very well, she's about 18? So we talked, she said she talked to Bobby, and I just thought that was so cool. Any questions you have, I am on line while I am here all week. This is the first time Bobby has been mainstreamed and it is working out very well.
