Guest guest
Thanks, Cammie. The pediatrician gave us something that is supposed to help her tummy and is supposedly keto friendly, lactulose granules or something like that, so we'll see if that helps. And I am with you on the favorite meals. She hasn't been too hungry but I'm just letting her hang out in the highchair and nibble her meals. It feels strange to throw the rules out the window but you are right that we have a greater evil to worry about with this nasty acidosis! On the bright side, since lowering her ratio and addressing the acidosis, I have my old Langan back! She is so happy and giggly and full of energy, and her development has really kicked in. I am wondering if the long term acidosis was more of a problem than we knew. I read that long term it can cause extreme muscle fatigue- might explain a lot. She has made more physical gains in the last 2 weeks than she did the entire last 8 months on keto! So we are excited- scared to be hopeful but at the same time hopeful that we have found our balance and can stay on keto and off the meds and NOT be too acidotic. Maybe I am asking too much, but a mom can dream, right? Thanks again! I'll keep you posted! > > Hello all. Sorry I have been MIA.
