Guest guest
My daughter fixes ice cream for Tanner with real cream, splenda, vanilla. I think it had powdered egg in it too. He likes that right now. She stirs it in the frig when it is starting to freeze. He likes sausage or peanut butter mixed with butter and he dips celery in it. She has been making him kool aid popcycles sweetened with Splenda and regular kool aid. He also likes his cream mixed with diet root beer. (like a float). Hallie Soft Meal suggestions--Please!!!! My daughter, , has been on the diet for 3 weeks now and is getting tired of the same old meals and refusing to finish them. Can anyone give me some suggestions for soft meals? She eats the Peanut Butter Whip without too much fuss, but doesn't like the cheesecake, perhaps it's the flavoring and sweetener that I'm putting in or not putting enough in. Any meal suggestions, including ingredients, would be appreciated, as our dietician said she would recalculate the amounts to fit 's ratio, which is 4-1. Thanks, (mom of . Keto kid since 7/04)
Guest guest
Hi We are doing the MCT version of the diet but I'm sure you could adapt the following for the classic ketogenic: Strawberry trifle - Ben absolutely adored this: some kind of light sponge cake pieces (we can go a bit higher on the carbs for this one), sugarfree jelly, strawberries chopped up fairly small, leave to set, custard (maybe made with egg if not flour or perhaps a combination?), sieved cottage cheese, whipped double cream. Thoroughly chill - Ben ate this up in no time! How old is ? Ben didn't like my cheesecake either - he took 1 hour 40 minutes to finish it! Best of luck Rose Toms - Mum of Ben (9) in ketosis since March 04 and doing OK
