Guest guest
We have diet down to a 2;1 ratio with her diet wean right now. Plan was to drop to 1.5:1 next but dietican says her meal planner will not go below 2:1.......sheesh...... Yes I know I could download a meal planner and do it myself. Or other option is to have her hand calculate only a bare minimum of our extensive meal plans Her suggestion was to perhaps change cream to milk but she didn't know (or more accurately hadn't figured out) exactly what that would do to ratio Playing with ideas at the moment and am wondering.....does anyone know/ever figured out what ratio an Atkins diet or a keto/Atkins mixture like some are doing would be? Just curious.....and thinking it would be helpful to know this to figure out what to do next, even though I am not exactly sure why.....came home working in the city and got message on phone from dietican of this new problem and now processing it all well at the moment The way the timing was suppose to work out, a few days after doming off the 1.5:1, she will be off to camp for a week. Not being able to handle the thought of the mass dessert preparation that always entails, and knowing how much she wants to eat like everyone else, my plan was to not weigh anymore, get the camp's meal plans and modify them somewhat by substituting some Atkins and other low carb products. So she would at least get to eat some of what everyone else is. Thoughts??
Guest guest
K, that's how she is doing.... Can't help - one day mebbe, but by the time we get to this weaning point you are at, all of this will probably be a distant memory for you guys... Good luck, and I hope she enjoys camp, is about the best I can do for now, ----- Original Message ----- > We have diet down to a 2;1 ratio with her diet wean right now. > Plan was to drop to 1.5:1 next but dietican says her meal planner will > not go below 2:1.......sheesh...... Guest guest
I am finding that coming off the diet at 1.5:1 is like a med wean at the end, very scary with lots of possibilities of seizure and lots of them. I wouldn't mess around with anything less than strict controls and weighing. I certainly wouldn't send someone to camp at this critical time with anything other than a very good meal plan in place. I would stay at 2:1 and freeze meals or make recipes for meals to be made at camp at the ratio. I think that I sent the scale and a recipe for breakfast of an omelette with extra margarine and cream in it with apple sauce. Any half decent meal planner should be able to handle any ratio.
