Guest guest
Hi, on Saturday I received the Starbright CD (, THANK YOU!!) and it is just awesome. If you haven't ordered it already for your kids, I can only recommend it. You only have to click here: http://www.starbright.org/projects/hes/order.html I have copied the official description from their website below. Since Fiona will have her first x-ray done at the next clinic visit, I watched the x-ray description with her. And although she couldn't understand what the kids were saying, the CD is so much self- explaining, that she needed only little help to get the grip on it. I haven't looked at the other features, but it seems to be helpful even for little children. Non US- or Canada residents will have to pay 25$ for the CD, but I hope that the support network on this list will help those, who can't afford the money. Bye Torsten Now available on CD-ROM. The STARBRIGHT Explorer Series™ was developed for kids & teens, who told us they wanted information about different medical conditions and procedures in easy-to-understand terms. In the words of one child: " The doctors use such big words, the right words that you don't even understand. I've asked them what they mean. They give you the answer and you still have no clue what they are talking about. " The STARBRIGHT Explorer Series is provided with the generous support of the Mc House Charities and the G. Foundation for Medical Research. Cystic Fibrosis: Fitting CF Into Your Life Everyday " Fitting Cystic Fibrosis Into Your Life Everyday " prepares teens and pre-teens for the challenges and benefits of taking control of their treatments. Featuring information on breathing and eating, as well as a CF question and answer session, this program offers a comprehensive look at some of the issues most important to teens with CF: understanding their condition and CF management, making smart and creative choices about treatments, fitting in with friends, and handling disease-related situations with minimal embarrassment. Designed for teens and pre-teens ages 10 to
