Guest guest
Good evening all. I have been scrolling here for a bit and want to say thank you for all the wonderful information. My daughter is almost 3 and has seizure disorder because she had bacterial meningitis as an infant. She was seizure free for almost 18 months, much to the amazement of her doctors, but then she started with drop seizures. At first, I didn't know what they were, but finally realized they were seizures. Meds helped a bit, but then thye didn't and she ended up fairly medicated, but not overly so. She is very delayed and has other issues, mostly endocrine related, and is also visually impaired. The diet seems to be going well overall. We started on March 17. her meds are cut in half already and she seems to be a bit more alert. She was seizure free for 3 weeks, the longest stretch, until this morning, when she had a moderately strong tonic seizure. She recovers a bit better since being on the diet, I think, and she was alert this evening after a sleepy day. In any event, I just wanted to say hello and thanks and I'm sure I'll have lots of questions for the experts. Caitlin, Lily's mom.
